Description
PÅLIN – Our Adventurous Friend is a theatre production about Pauline Leopold, who later became Pålin Li. The story follows her life from a safe and secure childhood to fleeing her home, carrying out secret missions, and eventually building a new life in Norway. A chance decision to learn Norwegian led her into the Norwegian resistance movement, where she worked closely with military leaders and played an important, yet largely hidden, role.
The production offers an intimate and personal perspective on the consequences of war through the life of one individual – a life shaped by love, loss, betrayal, and creativity. Through memories, music, and visual elements inspired by her own art, the performance brings to life a story that reminds us that major historical events are always experienced by individuals.
This is a story of courage, hope, and resilience – and of how history continues to live within us.
